100 years of freedom

Just to let you know that there people out there ready and able to cheat and rob you.

Here we are into 2016 and its rain rain rain..So glad that I'm at the top of a hill and I don't have to travel.Others are not so fortunate.

One poor girl went to Galway to celebrate the new year and she got into a taxi and asked him to take her home. Where do you live?  Celbridge Co.Kildare... and off they went 2 1/2 hours later and €220 she arrived home only to get a call on her mobile asking her where she was???????????????/
She was supposed to be staying in Galway...Not a great start to the year.

1916 to 2016 100 years.
Great celebrations are going to take place all over Ireland.
For what, 3,000 children living in homeless accommodation, hundreds of families facing eviction from rented homes which have been taken over from the banks.
These houses will be sold to the pals of the bankers and then sold on later for a good profit.
There are thousands of drug addicts in our city doorways.I won't even go into the health system people with suspected cancers being asked to wait 3 months for tests.

Is this the true legacy of 100 years of self rule?

Count me out of the celebrations please.

For What Died the Sons of Róisín

(By Luke Kelly)
For What Died the Sons of Róisín, was it fame?
For What Died the Sons of Róisín, was it fame?
For what flowed Ireland’s blood in rivers,
That began when Brian chased the Dane,
And did not cease nor has not ceased,
With the brave sons of ´16,
For what died the sons of Róisín, was it fame?
For What Died the Sons of Róisín, was it greed?
For What Died the Sons of Róisín, was it greed?
Was it greed that drove Wolfe Tone to a paupers death in a cell of cold wet stone?
Will German, French or Dutch inscribe the epitaph of Emmet?
When we have sold enough of Ireland to be but strangers in it.
For What Died the Sons of Róisín, was it greed?
To whom do we owe our allegiance today?
To whom do we owe our allegiance today?
To those brave men who fought and died that Róisín live again with pride?
Her sons at home to work and sing,
Her youth to dance and make her valleys ring,
Or the faceless men who for Mark and Dollar,
Betray her to the highest bidder,
To whom do we owe our allegiance today?
For what suffer our patriots today?
For what suffer our patriots today?
They have a language problem, so they say,
How to write “No Trespass” must grieve their heart full sore,
We got rid of one strange language now we are faced with many, many more,
For what suffer our patriots today?
